KRYSTOS, AXIS OF DEATH & AIM TO KILL
DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM
KRYSTOS is best described by their debut album“Walk through the Inferno”. They display a great deal of musicianship on this epic thrash classic! This is a concept album originating from a dark historical poem “Dante’s Inferno”. The album entails many classical interludes, fast catchy melodies and top notch guitar playing . The eleven song metal album has much versatility calling for everything from two clean acoustic guitars to nine distorted guitars. Its gloomy intro and colorful yet foreboding front cover set a darkening atmosphere enough to stand up the hairs on your neck. The album conducts intense and flashy guitar playing abilities yielding sweep arpeggios tapping, well composed solos and melodies, flamenco style, and fast shredding up and down the neck. With a combination of speed and technicality, this album is likely to be dubbed by listeners as one of the better ones of its time. “Walk through the Inferno” is without a doubt a display of good songwriting and intensity, demanding a new vision for its thrash metal genre. We can only hope to expect great things from Krystos in the future....
AXIS OF DEATH: With the drive and vision of grandmaster Jessie Martinez, Axis Of Death was created from the charred remains of Metal in it's true form and with the blessing of the dark lord Satan. Many believe Metal died with the passing of the great Dimebag Darrell, but Jessie would hear none of it. The quest to gingerly rape the ears of the public started in January 2011 with the acquisition of Randy Rhodes' bastard child in the role of lead guitarist. Things began to look up as the melodic god of uber happy strumming plucked his way to a seemingly "shoe-in" nomination to be the prize at the end of a double rainbow. Jessie knew an element was missing and in came the drummer. He brought with him a kit to be envied my guitar hero/rock band enthusiasts world wide. 2 months passed as a fire burned inside Jessie to purge himself of these hair band video game prodigy's. A real life "kneel before Zod" moment was on the horizon as Jessie's blood boiled over and his mighty fist slammed on the ground. The search began for true metal heads, and as if the stars had aligned and the seas parted, in stepped 2 of the most in your face knuckle dragging minions of hate that he ever laid eyes on...Brad and Rich! With a desire to punch babies that they channeled through their instruments like no other, Jessie knew that Metal had arrived at his feet snarling like a rabid dog ready to be unleashed.
AIM TO KILL: Upstart Metal band from SD in the vein of Metallica, Nevermore, Megadeth, Arch Enemy, Testament, etc.
