Small Potatoes with Chris Patterson Celebrate Family Day at Shenkman Arts Centre with Chris Patterson of Arrogant Worms fame!
Chris started writing for kids in 2006 when he recorded songs for school children for the Dairy Farmers of Canada’s nutrition education program. Inspired by that project and the birth of his own twins, Chris then produced his first solo album called Small Potatoes. The album contains ten original songs plus three adaptations of classic kids’ favourites. Small Potatoes has songs that go from pop to rock to hip hop to opera to everywhere in between.
Chris recognizes the importance of music to kids for development and learning, but also just for the fun of it. Today’s Parent magazine says that Chris Patterson “writes for kids, balancing unbridled, silly and serious.” His audiences dance, sing and laugh. Chris has done shows with The Backyardigans and others, and no matter where he goes the little kids and the big kids are having fun.
