Goodnight California - the new album from Nate Currin combines his strong songwriting, grave yet soulful voice, and acoustic presence with a new found rock demeanor. The combination of those traits with a unique electronic ambience and catchy synth loops provide a special musical flavor that is somewhere in between folk, rock and electronic.
Fresh off the release of their acoustic e.p “Other Things” 200 West has been moving through their musical journey in pursuit of crafting and sharing their West Coast based sound. The collection of songs that 200 West has put out represents the very same thing that they say defines them as a band and those are life, music and “other things”.
Since the band formed in 2005, 200 West has made it a point to not place any limitations on style, tone and expression. Originally known as an acoustic band with just 2 guys, and 2 acoustic guitars. The group solidified its current lineup with Greg, Adam, Jon and Chris in 2010. After releasing both their full-length album “The Season” and their ep “The Metropolitan Sessions” 200 West set out to tour the entire US for 5 months in 2012. After playing 100’s of shows and living on the road for nearly half a year in 2012, the band has stationed themselves in multiple beach cities around Southern-California and has been playing residency shows while they finish writing and recording dozens of new songs. For 200 West, 2013 will be yet another year filled with touring, writing, recording, and sharing their music.
