Bio

Mercury, Brass, Polyester, Suede, Gut, Soul, Intention and Improvisation. Rough Congress specializes in "deep cuts" and soul/jazz/r&b/funk genre obscurities from the 60's-80's, as well as smart soulful originals. The gang regularly did studio session work and decided to form a band in 2007 for grins and gins. An amalgamation of musical experience crushed under the weight of individual virtuosity and collective geography.

About

Brandon O'Neill- Vocals- The quintessential front man. A professional theatre actor and award winning Jazz vocalist with gospel rich voice. (1992 Male Vocalist of the year, Lionel Hampton International Jazz Festival)

Jamie Frost - Guitar- Toured the world with the seminal garage punk gone glam act The Maker's (sub-pop).  Gritty, blues infused solos and muscly riffs matched with a stunning stage presence make for a world class performer.

Chris White- Keys- An accomplished tv/commercial/film composer and producer/president of House of Sound productions. Chris expands the ether with a 1973 Fender Rhodes and a Little Phatty Mini Moog .

Jake Barr- Bass- One of those guys who does it full time. Jake is one of the areas most sought after studio players as well as a consummate live performer. It's a rare treat to have a bass player who can solo just as well as any player on stage.

Aaron Saye- Drums- Called the "Funk Hammer", there is hardly a more consistent snare in the business. Aaron recently recorded and toured with The Makers for their Everybody Rise album.
