  Main Street Congregational Church, member United Church of Christ, will hold its annual Strawberry Festival on Friday, June 25, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the church, 145 Main St. In addition to serving lobster rolls and strawberry shortcake, volunteers will be cooking up hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers while listening to musical entertainment. The lineup of music includes Robin Lee Field, the Plum Island Pans, Zach Field, Voices of Distinction and Sue and Chuck Launsby.

  I'm proud to be performing for WomensRadio Guerilla Showcase at the Indiegrrl 2009 Conference! Plus my very first trip to Nashville! Here are the details of the Conference. Indiegrrl Women in the Arts supports and showcases all Independent Women in the Arts regardless of race, religeon, or sexual orientation. We will be showcasing the best women in the independent music, performance poetry, story telling, and comedy industries at our 2009 Conference located in Nashville, TN at the beautiful Hotel Preston. Women and men are welcome to attend the conference. Showcasing artists must be members of our organization. The 2009 Indiegrrl Women in the Arts Conference will provide an excellent opportunity for all Women in the Arts, booking agencies, venues, industry professionals, businesses supporting the arts, and self-represented artists to gather together, network, showcase, exhibit and conduct business. The event celebrates "Women in the Arts" and emerging talent with 2 days/nights of showcases from selected original acts and artists. Industry professionals attend as panelists, speakers, mentors, exhibitors and talent scouts to network, do business and share their experience with the registrants. Over 40 showcase opportunities are available in various categories. The 2009 Indiegrrl Women in the Arts Conference will feature a dinner buffet banquet on Thursday night with an industry professional guest speaker and will recognize the newly inducted Indiegrrl Honorary members. The banquet will be followed by a socializing party in the Pink slip Bar at the Hotel Preston. The conference will feature 2 days of panels, clinics, workshops, mentoring & demo listening sessions, and vendor exhibit hall trade show.
