“Catch a new duo at Fresh Brewed We had a chance last Tuesday to stop by Fresh Brewed Coffeehouse to watch a couple of local musicians, Rian Adkinson and Sam Favata play together in the coffee shop's front window/stage. Now we've covered both these guys in the past on the site, but watching them work together, there was a definite chemistry between the two, which RX noted joking about being joined at the hip since they started playing together regularly a few weeks ago. The two started off with a show at Drink! on Dec. 17, opening for Soundtherapy and it appears that for now, they will have a standing gig at Fresh Brewed every Tuesday if you want to go check them out. Also, nothing has been planned as far as we know, but RX mentioned something about a label showcase being in the works after the former Nashville-based musician had spoken with one of his contacts from the music city about his current project. So stay tuned for details on that.”

“After this singer-songwriter moved from Nashville to the beach in December, he didn't waste any time making a splash on the local music scene. He quickly linked up with members of the local electronic/jazz fusion band Science Factory and began to shape a new sound that led to performing a showcase for a Major Label in January. This led to a trip to NYC and talks of a deal with one of the company's sub-labels — which he expects to be officially announced next month — along with plans to record in Nashville in April Rian says that while things are still in the works he hopes to have an album out in August and will kick off an 80-date tour of the south, west and east coast in June. Currently, he is working on tracking as much new material as he can, working with many of Myrtle Beach's best in order to give himself options when he gets to Nashville. "I want to have a huge palette of sounds and players and pick the very best of 40 tunes," he said. ”
