Songwriters Pete Mitchell and Elissa Barron are Mitch & the Barroness. They met by chance in April of 2009, and quickly discovered that working together enhanced their individual skills as performers and songwriters.

Together, they write and perform music couched in the traditions of blues, folk, country and jazz. Across all genres, their songs share intriguing musical changes and lyrical eloquence.
