    Details

The John St. Jam is the most talked-about music venue in the Hudson Valley. On the 2nd (and 5th) Saturday of every month we present 8 of the area’s best musicians in an intimate, living-room setting. We do two 'rounds' of four players each with an intermission. The room is cozy, the people friendly, and the performances are always top-notch. Musical styles range from folk to blues, from rock to ragtime. And it's all only $5! The "stage" is a big, comfortable rug in the middle of the room with four chairs arranged in a circle. The audience is seated around the outside and is never more than a few feet from the musicians. This format provides the intimacy of a living room and allows the musicians to interact in ways that aren't possible in the traditional coffeehouse format.
