Hey it's Maddie, First, thank you for being such a great supporters of my music! My hope is to provide good, fun music that lifts, inspires and brings a smile :). For a few days you can download a FREE MP3 of my new cover "Highway Don't Care" from my reverbnation page. It is a duet with Artie Hemphill, he is awesome. I am heading to Nashville in 2-weeks to meet with a big label and some industry execs who are interested in my music. I will also be doing some co-writing with some awesome Nashville songwriters and playing at the Blue Bird Cafe. This is such a great opportunity, I am still pinching myself. Below is a link to my latest video collab with Artie Hemphill, I hope you enjoy it enough to share. Highway Don't Care - video cover: http://youtu.be/AjBM9f4Gg08 <3 Maddie Wilson
It was an incredibly gratifying feeling when my EP was completed and released recently! I spent much of 2011 writing these songs and working on the vocals, along with arranging and recording. I would love for you to download the album on iTunes, write a review and share them with your friends if you enjoy them! Each song tells a story that I wanted to share, and I am really pleased with how each one turned out. Thank you to Stuart Maxfield who has been my songwriting coach and co-writer and to my family & friends who has been so supportive and given me some great stories to work with.
Look for some new videos coming of the songs, as well as performances with the band.
Thank you for your support of my music and for your encouragement for me to keep at it. <3 Maddie
I have been working hard this year writing songs, recording and getting a band together. We plan to release my EP in January 2012 with 5 originals. I wrote the songs with help from a fantastic songwriter Stuart Maxfield. Soon we will have information on performances and and the release of the EP. The songs are country, based on real events/experiences and will take you on a journey about some of the very best and most heart wrenching happenings in life!
2011 has kept me very busy and I have already had many amazing opportunities almost too many to share!
The Live For Music youtube series with Shaun Barrowes has be really fun and rewarding, it has been great to work with such an accomplished and talented musician. Our first episode "Waiting Outside The Lines" has almost 200,000 views and was featured on Greyson Chances' website. Shaun and I have also co-written a song and now we are working on the studio recording, it think it will turn out really great!
I have 2 new originals that I have written that I am really excited about and I am working on at least one more before getting them recorded for my first EP! Also, I am going to Nashville in June to perform at the Nashville Palace during CMA week, woo hoo!! So so excited that I can hardly wait.
I have a performance on April 1st (no foolin) at the Shops at Riverwoods in Provo. I will also be doing some big concerts with Shaun this summer at Deer Valley and in Provo at the Covey Arts Center.
A few management companies contact me along with some song writers and producers and others. My parents (managers) are helping me to figure out the right opportunities ahead.
Thanks so much for your support! I really do want to use music for good purposes and to lift and inspire others and of course to keep life fun and upbeat! Looking forward to what lies ahead and I'm very grateful to the gift of music.
I am very excited about 2011! I have been busy working on guitar, writing, vocals, performing etc. I am very excited about my new song "What's Wrong With Me?" and hope to record it pretty soon along with a couple of other new songs. Also, I have a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Shaun Barrowes who is a very talented musician, our first project will be coming the first part of January, so I will tell you more later...
Happy New Year :)
We'll I have a blog! I guess I will tell you some of what I am up to.
I am working on writing a song each week. I met with someone about 2 weeks ago that is helping me learn more about writing and it has really helped so I am excited to work on some more and eventually be able to share them with all of you.
Thanks for reading and check back every so often. Thanks so much for your encouragement and support!! Maddie
