Things are looking up as we march forward
Hello Friends,
We recently remastered our first album and released some live tracks. The reception has been fantastic to say the least. We are very happy to receive such kind comments and feedback, it means the world to us to know that the songs are being enjoyed by so many friends, those of you that have been with us since we started last year and all of you who have just joined us.
The Live Album will be released officially once we gather the proper licenses for a few of the cover songs we want to include on the official release, that is already in the process of being finalized. For right now they will just be up to listen to online. It was a fun album to make and not without its obstacles, but well worth it in the end. First time we ever recorded live, full of guitar mistakes and all. Hopefully we hear them more than you do! It was a very interesting process indeed.
We are currently working on six brand new songs, and have some more on the back burner waiting for there turn to get worked. We anticipate recording our second studio album in January 2012. The material so far is a lot of fun and exciting and we look forward to sharing it with you all when complete.
We are also about to being booking more live shows again, and we need to get out of Salt Lake City a bit and travel around some. We love our city but we have got ants in our pants and need to see and experience some new places. Wish us luck. Also time to start thinking about a Management Company, we have a new addiction to festivals, one that we would like to satisfy a lot more than we have.
Thank you all again for your wonderful support of the band, the one true goal in writing music is the hope that somebody will enjoy it. It is the reward, and we are surely grateful.
Sincerely,
Tim, Nate, Codiann, & Derek
2011
Hello Dear Friends,
Well the CD is complete and already is doing very well and gaining some very serious momentum. It has only been our a week and at this rate we are very humbled and grateful at the positive response by radio, internet radio, fans, and our fellow brothers and sister in music. We want to personally thank Mr. Anthony Hosking of Motivational Radio NZ, Mr. Will Feelright of KLZX 95.9 FM Logan UT, as well as KRCL 90.9 Red, White, and Blues program's Truman and Brian, and of course Bad Brad Wheeler. We are hoping to expand to some of the other radio programs on KRCL as well. A new radio campaign will soon begin targeting college and public radio stations worldwide.
We are very relived to get Day of Reckoning out there, mp3 downloads are available in our band store found on our main website, reverbnation site, facebook site, and linked from our myspace site. We are currently working up some artwork ideas so we can proceed with physical CD duplication in the very near future, as well as a host of merchandise items.
PFFR is also actively networking with other bands both locally and nationally that are serious about their original music and hoping that together we can make a big difference. We most recently have had the great pleasure of becoming friends with Blues 66 and Opal Hill Drive. Both bands fantastically talented and so very gracious! Our first show of 2011 will be in support of Opal Hill Drive January 14 at Flirt's in Lehi UT, this is going to be one hell of a night of music, and we encourage everyone to not miss this. Then coming in February, we have something very special planned on Friday 2/18 at The Fifth in Bountiful, this is will be a Blues Rock showcase featuring both PFFR and Blues 66......and we are being graced with some very special guest performers that we will be announcing very soon and believe me it is going to be a very special indeed. Look for that show announcement at the beginning of January!
Thank you all so much for your support and for sharing us with your friends. If there is any one thing we can ask of you it is to share us with your FB Friends, you co-workers, your family. You truly make the difference and we are forever grateful.
Steps Along the Way................
We are really enjoying the journey that we are taking and wanted to thank you all so much for your continued support. With each new song written and each new live show we continually grow as a band and as a family. Our goals are being accomplished one by one, all steps along the way on a grand journey.
Though each member of the band committed themselves in November of 2009, it wasn't until February 2010 that we even begin rehearsing and writing together. From the first day in our humble rehearsal room, just large enough to fit 4 people if you don't move to much, we knew we were on the right track and never doubted that this band would be a success, and already it has been and is only going to grow and grow.
The songs keep coming and we are finally slated to record in October 2010 and we are so excited to get the sessions underway!
The debut album will allow for more opportunity with increased airplay, larger shows, and touring. We are so thankful to those that have been so generous in their support that has given us the fuel to keep up full steam ahead.
We truly love and thank you all, and look forward to a CD release this winter, and the fast track to our next round of goals.
Sincerely,
Nathan - PFFR
