Hello friends! Hopefully you all had a great Thanksgiving, survived through Black Friday, and are having a great Holiday season. The batteries are recharged, the spirits are high, and all of us in the Santa Mamba camp are very much looking forward to seeing you all!
Our next show is at The Spot Underground on Saturday, December 10th. If you've seen us there (or any band there for that matter), you already know how TSUG is. But if not, you really gotta come check it out. The Spot is one of the best live music venues in Providence, and one of the best I've ever played (and I've played many! Remember the old Safari Lounge?). The people who run the place and work there are all super passionate about music, and they're all wonderful people. The show is 21+.
We're also getting ready for our NYE gig at the RI Convention Center for the World Party Ent gala. Buddy Cianci hosts, and Troy Brown and Patrick Pass (former Patriots players) will be in the house. You can purchase tickets through the link on the Santa Mamba official website. That one will be a very special night, so if you feel like hitting up a hell of a party on NYE? That will be the place!
That's all I have for now folks. So come on out and join the party on December 10th! You'll be glad you did. Be safe, be well, and always tip your bartender. Until next time!

JF's music recommendation for this blog entry is the album "Since I Left You" by The Avalanches.
Hello friends! JF from Santa Mamba checking in once again. We're nearing the end of November, and after a brief performance hiatus, we are just about finished recharging the batteries and getting ready to rock stages in December!
We'll be returning to one of the greatest venues for live music in the Providence area on December 10 : The Spot Underground. We always love coming back to this place, and for great reason. The staff is amazing, and the room is great. It's always a party when the Santa Mamba crew rolls into The Spot. It's the former location of The Call, so be sure to come check out that one.
And then on New Year's Eve, we'll be rocking the stage at World Party Entertainment's 2nd Annual Masquerade Ball (holy moly that was a lot of capitalizations!). This will be a very special evening, and we're looking forward to playing in our home town on New Year's Eve to ring in 2012. You can get tickets for that one through the link on the band Facebook page and on the band website, at www.santamamba.com
We're looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks! Look out for more updates on shows, on the upcoming Santa Mamba album, and for any other updates we may have for you. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday weekend everybody. See you in December!
Hello everybody! Well, it's November, but somehow the temperature still reached into the mid-60's today. The band is on a short break of a few weeks, recharging the batteries and getting ready to rock and roll once December comes.
The album is rolling along with the mixing, and Phil Greene and Tony Ricci are doing the tracks some very serious justice! These guys are amazing at what they do, and we can't wait to get the new recording to you all. December brings some great shows, including a return to one of our favorite venues, The Spot Underground, on December 10th and our New Year's Eve performance at the Convention Center in Providence. More details to come on that!
Until next time!
John F Drums, Santa Mamba
Hello all! John F. from Santa Mamba checking in. Since we've been utilizing the Reverbnation system much more frequently these days, it seemed most appropriate to start utilizing its many amazing features, including the built-in blog feature.
There has been a lot going on in Santa Mamba land, most of which can be attributed to our work on the upcoming new release that features the current lineup of Santa Mamba. This will be the very first recording with this lineup, and things are sounding great!
We went into the studio at Triad Recording Studios, with engineer Tony Ricci and producer Phil Greene (who has a very extensive and impressive resume to his credit), to begin work on our album back in July. With much work on laying down tracks for the songs, 4 of which are previously unrecorded songs, we're finally in the mixing phase of things. The entire band is very much excited to have a record that captures both the sound and the energy of our music. And we just know that all of you will love it too.
Aside from the recording, which we will keep you all posted on as far as preordering information, release time, where you can purchase the album, and when the CD release party will be. We'll be at The Spot Underground in Providence, one of our favorite venues and one of the best venues in Rhode Island, on Saturday, December 10. It will be a 21+ show, as all shows at TSUG are. So come on out and join the party! You'll be glad you did. Until next time!
