Someone posted this on YouTube recently-
Found YouTube vid of "I Don't..." posted by PunkNikko- some great power pop postings there. Thx Punk.
"The Yanks have a page on ReverbNation, hosting a veritable box set's worth of demos and live recordings, along with tracks from the two eps I've spoken of. If only all the bands I write about were this thoroughly archived... "
Thanks for the mention. The Team!
Just getting back online and here we go! More YANKS from Steve Aliment's archives. We hope all our system malfunctions have been sorted out and it's cool-sailing ahead.
BTW: Between the crashes, work and school- we're thinking of starting a band and having some fun for a change- WORD!
THIS WILL BE A YANKS LIVE (BSqLIVE) AND VERY RARE STUDIO (BLUE TAPE) CHRISTMAS. THIS EMAIL JUST IN FROM STEVE: Live At Berkeley Square was recorded when we came off a long road trip and the band was well rehearsed and in fine form as you can hear. Might be the best live performance on tape that I know of. It needs a bit of a volume boost but it rocks. Jimmy Ace on the board and some effects! The Blue Tape was recorded "live" on a multi track Fostex I think and the sound quality is good and so is the playing. There is a rare version of Pretty You (Is All I Need). THIS IS MY FAV Yanks rarely heard recording.
WE WILL POST NEW LIVE MP3's ASAP!
Merry Christmas from THE TEAM (M,I&C(K))
VIDEOS? PHOTOS? SET LISTS? GOSSIP? RUMORS? We want to share it.
We have heard from a number of YANKS and fans that they have photos, set lists, videos and more and we can't wait to post them. Email links to vids and scans of photos, lists and anything and EVERYTHING else to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Saddle Up! The Team. (M.I.&C.(K))
Don't say it. We have been out to lunch. Gone fishing. Well maybe that can change. We hope to have some new videos to link to soon. Steve has said he has a lot of material to share so it's only a matter of time. We can only hope for more YANKS. If anyone has anything to share please email us pix, mp3 files, rumors, news, even memories from the long distant past would be fun.
Thank you, Cindy and the Team.
We understand that Paul Zahl is out of the hospital, back home and on the mend. We wish him a quick (not sick) return to health. In the meantime, if you have any photos, mp3 files, stories to share please send them.
What we know: Paul Zahl was hit by a car as he was riding his bike near home. He is in the hospital and out of intensive care. He has broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a concussion, a fractured vertebra, stitches on his scalp, bruises, can barely move his right arm and is in a lot of pain. Surgery may be needed for the collapsed lung.
We hope for a speedy recovery and no complications.
The Team, M.I.&C(K).
