For a start it's quite bright. We have 4 gigs on the horizon and we've been busy rehearsing for them, we haven't for a few years attempted to perform the songs as they have been recorded (the luxury of having a studio means you can indulge yourself). So it is with this impetus that we have at least decided to try and sound like our recordings. We have introduced a new lineup. Mark is now playing drums and samples and Hanna Marie joins us on bass. We still have Nicole's powerful voice and Keith's amazing guitar. Come and see us if you can, at least two of our four gigs are free. We have a new studio album coming out in the next two months and fingers crossed another live album.
We have been handed a an opportuinty to sound better than we have ever sounded before. However bad it may have seemed at the time, now knowing that others would do the same in the same situation. We start the year for the first time with smiles on our faces. We have a taster album on Itunes, Number two is being finished while number three has been started and it won't be long for album number four. Along with the Solstice concert and Tales, business as usual for the Mostly Machine. And finally Welcome Keith.
We wait and not put ourselves out there for 18 months due to playing with and mixing other bands, we have two new gigs coming up in the next two months. I'm worried about playing the old material although I believe in it and love it, the new stuff won't be ready to perform until august 08 but the mp3s will be available in June 08.
. I'm finding it hard to write songs that don't remind me of older material. Balls!
