A bientôt , j'espère ! ******** ENGLISH *********** It didn't start very well: heavy snow on the region and 100 kilometres to drive to Montoy-Flanville. But after a while the weather improved a lot and everybody arrived in time. The audience was very friendly and Antonio cracked a few of his worst jokes, to Fabio helpless disappointment. People seemed to enjoy the show and at the end many staied to talk with us, by our CD and have it signed by the band. Thank you Montoy-Flanville, every time we play here we can feel your empathy and this is our best reward.

Excitement and disappointment in Azerailles

****** ENGLISH ******

Let's face it: we were disappointed when we have been told that the jury didn't pick Congo Square to play at the Festival du Vieux Canal end of August. However, we had a very challenging Sunday last 1st June participating to the contest. It was the first time we had to play a 20 minutes set and compete with 5 other bands. Not exactly the same experience as a Saturday night concert in a nice club and it probably took us too long to understand what was that all about. But it taught us more lessons than we could have possibly learnt in a more comfortable gig and after all we were in the final 6 out of 27 artists applying. All 6 the artist participating to the the contest were really talented and experienced and despite the competition the atmosphere was nice and friendly. Our compliments to the winners, they all did a great job, but beware: we are catching up quick! Now let's meet in Hayange, 21st of June for the Fete de la Musique!

We love Rome Café!

****** ENGLISH ******

Yes, we love Rome Café, because each time we play there we feel at home. The owners are so nice, people are friendly and by the end of the concert everyone is asking for more! This time we hosted the great Tom Martin on the drums and he did a fantastic job. Loud and funky, he blew up Rome Café! Antonio was delighted. Rebecca was at her best and the horns were unstoppable. A great night in front of a great audience. Next time we will be… check out the concert schedule and we'll met there ;-) Sayonara

Back at Rome Cafè

Hi again. Good news for our friends from Thionville. We will be back to Rome Cafè 5 April. Last time it was a very successful night and we all keep very good memory of it. Let's meet again and share 2 hours of singing and dancing. Your official fun providers.

BACK FROM ANCIEN CINEMA

Not many people at Ancien Cinéma yesterday. The Hell's Angels didn't show up, but we had zombies instead (you don't believe us? Check out the web site for pictures) and the happy few who dared to come were the most enthusiastic audience we have ever had. The number of CDs sold exceeded the number of people in the room. Amazing! Our personal thanks to the guy (or girl) who bought two CDs: you are offcially our number one fan. Next time bring your two CDs and you'll get a free ticket. Everybody stayed long after the concert was over, drinking beer and making new friends. It was more a private happening than a concert and that made the night really pleasant for everyone. Many thanks to Mac and the girls of Ancien Cinéma, they took care of us in the best way possible, always with a smile. Thanks to all our fans and see you soon.

Congo Square goes North !

Hi everyone. After the fantastic night we had at Ikkuvium Club in Differdange we needed some time to recover and to find the keys of our van so that we could move our stuff back from the Club to Congo Square’s headquarters. It took us a month, then Christmas came and we were busy unpacking the presents. Now we finally find some time to take care of the business again. What did we say we should do? Oh, right: a new concert! Soon we will load our Congo Van again and head north, to the charming city of Vianden. We will be playing at Ancien Cinéma, a very nice place with an interesting event season. Those of you who have never visited the Castle of Vianden should take the opportunity to spend there a Saturday afternoon and then come to see us on 1st March at 9 p.m. Don’t miss us, we would miss you!

Great fun at Ikkuvium

This was HUGE!! Our best performance ever! The Ikkuvium club was packed with people and we set the place on fire.
For the first time our show involved costumes, body painting, lights and video. Famous VJ Pino of Fun Unlimited was there with his machines and cameras to perform a live video act to support our music and the show was also streamed live on Fun Unlimited web page. We had very positive feedback from everyone (including web audience): the new show really involved everyone in some kind of crazy disco party.

We played all the songs from our CD "That's why" and we couldn't resist playing some new material as well.  Rebecca and the horn guys (for some reason the spelling checker was trying to change this to "Rebecca and the horny guys") were absolutely stunning with their new act while the rhythm section supported them with consistency and a soulbreaking groove.   We ended up with fans jumping on stage to have a picture of themselves with the band. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Check our site in the next days for pictures of the Ikkuvium night and stay tuned for the latest news and next concert dates.

CD Release Party

Hi everyone. As promised we will have the CD release party. It will be at Ikkuvium club in Differdange, on Saturday 26th October at 10 p.m. We are so excited! It will be huge. We are rehearsing a special show for the new season and you will be the first to see it. We will have costumes, dancers, light show, fireworks..... ok ok, maybe not fireworks, but dancers will be there: it will be you! Don't miss it! See you there!
