Ladies and gentlemen, it's the moment you have all been waiting for... HardLine Drive would like to welcome WES PETTINGER as our new banjo player! Wes comes to us from Battle Creek, Michigan and is one of the finest banjo players around! He is definitely no stranger to Bluegrass and has played in several bands in the area. When asked to describe Wes's banjo style, Danielle says: "He has the drive of Sammy Shelor, the bounce of Ron Block, and the tone and inflection of Ron Stewart! He's pretty much perfect, because all of those guys are my favorite's!" We couldn't be more happy to have him along and we can't wait for ya'll to hear him!
Hey everyone! Hope this blog finds you well! Lot's of things are happening these days in HLD...for those of you that don't know, let me give you a run-down! Bass player Davin Jeffers decided to leave the band this summer. He played his last gig with us back in September and at the end of the night with sad faces and lot's of hugs we all said goodbye. Davin is a young guy with a bright future ahead of him, and we wish him tons of luck in whatever he decides to do!! It's been a blessing and an honor to have him in the band. With that being said, we welcome Detroit native, 24 year old....KATIE GRACE to the band! Katie is a seasoned veteran in all genre's and has played for the likes of the Dead String Brothers, along with several others. Yup! That's right folks, ANOTHER girl in the band!:):) I think everything is back to the way it should be..lol Making our way through fall we are saddend to report the leaving of banjo player, Dave Russell. Dave was one of the founding members of HardLine Drive, and he will be greatly missed. Dave is a great banjo player, and a great songwriter, we wish him the best of luck in whatever the future holds for him! Now, with that being said...it surely wasn't easy to fill Dave's shoes, he has been a part of the HLD family for 3 years now! BUT we think we have find our match! I promised I wouldn't let the cat out of the bag til after saturday, so I guess you will just have to stay tuned....... IF you just can't take the suspense, come on out to the PIX THEATER in LAPEER MI this SATURDAY night and meet the new HardLine Drive member. Or should I say members!! It's been a crazy few months, but we are pushing forward and can't wait to see what the future holds! As always, we appreciate all the support from the fans...so KEEP LISTENING! peace, love, and bluegrass ya'll! -Danielle:)
"There's something special about the southern hospitality, the food and folk were great and the Friday night jam in Ellijay was great fun! I can't wait to go back." Danielle
We are looking forward to a great summer!
