Message From Maxi Priest

“As a musician/artist it's good to be in a position to give something back.

That's why it was a real pleasure for me to be part of a tribute concert with Bermuda artists and artists from around the world, which honoured John Lennon at the Botanical Gardens Show Ring on 21st September 2012.

We contributed our performances at this event for charity, the concert proceeds will go to: The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art & The Coalition for the Protection of Children & Ride The Wave. Part of the bar proceeds will go to CHEWSTICK”.

Our Tribute To John

A truly unique take on the songs of John Lennon, the 2 CD, 32-track collection of Bermudian covers coming out Sept. 21st will be sure to make you to rethink the songs you know and love. Errol Reid’s version of “Borrowed Time” stands out as a prime example of this project’s sheer imaginativeness. I’m sure you are familiar with the uninteresting note-for-note covers of well-known songs. This is not one of them. Just as Bermuda and its strangely beautiful Double Fantasy flower inspired John Lennon, Bermudians shows that Lennon has inspired them. A 120-page book detailing John’s experience in Bermuda will also be released with the CD collection. Not only are re-imagined songs a fitting tribute to such a musical titan, but the beautiful CD artwork has also been designed exclusively for this project. The entire package will be available for Bermudians and through the John Lennon Tribute website on Sept. 21st. http://www.doublefantasybermuda.com/
