Autism is a disorder that affects approximately 1.5 million Americans. A CDC report based on 2008 data found the rate of U.S. cases of autism and related disorders in children reached about 1 in 88, an increase of about 25% since 2006. Twenty years ago 1 in 2500 children were diagnosed with autism. The Autism Society estimates the cost of care for an autistic child ranges from $3.5 million to $5 million. This does not include their adult years or any federally funded programs that are available. The medical professionals emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and early intervention. It also stresses the world’s responsibility to research the disorder. Sadly, some people do not qualify for such programs and we would like to do our part by helping to fill some of the deficits. G.R.A.S.S. is a non-profit autism support group for the Greenbrier River area. We are hosting a walk for Autism on October 20, 2012 at 9: oo A.M. at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center Track to try and spread awareness as well as try and raise money to help families in need. All of the profits from this walk and any other fundraising, donations, or sponsoring may be used for, but certainly not limited to, helping families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders with transportation, equipment or devices needed to help with their sensory, language, and physical development. All contributions are appreciated, welcome, and tax deductible. Thank you for your help in touching lives of others and helping to make such a positive difference in our community. SRN Entertainment, LLC. is sponsoring this event. We have setup a link on my website if you are interested in donating to this cause and helping these children, Any questions regarding donating money can be directed to Eric Lanier (770) 298-5915 Respectfully, Sandra J. Wanted to first thank all my family and friends that came out to support me this weekend at the Festival on the Rivers. And a very special thanks to The Whiskey River Band for performing with me. I could not of asked for a better performance from you guys. It was a hot weekend in Geneva, temps around 90 but we embraced it and all the wonderful people that came out to the 603 to listen to some great music. Later that night we were in Enterprise at the Roundup to check out Blake and his band. This 16 year old Lance is amazing on the Guitar'. I couldn't ask for anything better than enjoying music with great people. Made some new friends and fans in the process. I love what I do and I sure do hope the Lord keeps blessing me where I can do this for the rest of my life. What better joy can there be to wake up everyday and knowing that I get to perform for my fans for a living. It gives me joy just thinking about it. Now Sunday we got together, cranked up the grill, iced down the coolers, and thought it was going to be a relaxing day but yet again I couldn't help but to pick up the guitar, John grabbed the sticks, Blake on the bass, and the next thing you know we jammed out for hours lolol. Well until next guys
