Bio
The New Clear Trio, comprised of Jason White, Tomas Bouda, and Joe Ryan, is the product of the band members' desire to create the music they have always wanted to make. The trio was formed years ago as a jazz group, but soon found itself writing its own music. The New Clear Trio is the end result of hours and hours of gigging, rehearsal, and general disorderly conduct that has been going on ever since the three members met each other.
About
The New Clear Trio is a band of psychopaths with focused energy and a taste for original music. They use their broad range of talent to create new works inspired by the masters of the past and the future masters (not the masters of the future, you follow?). Formed in 1764 by a master alchemist, they have been challenging peoples' interpretations of camels, lions, Phillip Glass, and Nietzsche ever since. They also play utterly excellent jazz.
Jason White plays a mean piano. He has a BMus in Composition, and he writes a lot of New Clear Trio's tunes. He also mangles saplings, and terrorizes other pianists.
Tom Bouda is, like, 9 feet tall, and is the only person anyone in this Trio has seen play a Full-Size Double Bass like a guitar. There are rumours that he is a composer, but those are only backed up by the original songs of his that New Clear Trio plays.
Joe Ryan is a drum set player who spends too much time pondering the curse of the corner garbage. But, then again, he has a philosophy degree (like Steve Reich, you know?). So I guess he has that going for him. He creates the drum parts, and plays them too.
