Bio
Neil Harnett
I believe that music creators and music lovers can influence the state of the world - in a positive way. It troubles me that so much of the ‘music medium’ is consumed with negative or empty messages and that so much is targeted at the world’s youth. I love to perform live to music lovers. It is truly an amazing experience when an performer and audience 'connect'. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who support original music and the artists that work so hard to ‘get it out there’. I have been at this a long, long time and regardless of how things turn out I can't see myself ever not playing and writing music. I look forward to ‘crossing paths’ with you somewhere along the road of life.
Be well.
About
Neil Harnett (aka Neil James Harnett) has enjoyed such highlights as a Juno Nomination, three singles on the Canadian charts, two full length CDs, three videos with national exposure and shared concert billings with Jeff Healey, Chuck Berry and The Doobie Brothers. In 1988, Neil’s composition, Ain’t Good Lovin’ Enough was recorded by both Diamond in the Rough and Alibi. The Diamond in the Rough release made it to the top ten of the Canadian charts. The success of Ain’t Good Lovin’ Enough and the buzz created by Neil’s performances and growing catalogue of tunes earned him his own deal the following year.
