the most moody electronic impressionism from dreamy and glitchy soundtracks to an aural manifestation of your most terrible nightmares.
About
Monstrum Sepsis is the electronic music project of Rob Wentz and Paul Karlik. The project originally started in Chicago in the mid-90's where both members met at art school. Rob and Paul met to record, modify and arrange custom samples using pre-vst music arrangement software.. Although both had spent months of their lives previously sequencing tracker songs, when the two began experimenting, exploiting and creating together, they were simply hooked. The project still lives on because they simply have such a damn good time doing it. So until that stops, we're along for the ride too. Join us for a world of likely the most moody electronic impressionism from dreamy and glitchy soundtracks to an aural manifestation of your most terrible nightmares.
Rob has written a plethora of music over the past several years for film and tv, fans of our music recognize bits which pop up on everything from A&E and Discovery channel to MTV and VH1.
From 2000-2006 Rob joined with another reverb nation artist, stromkern for live keyboards and piano.
Still constantly surprising the listener with a variety of musical influences, experimentation and rhythmic structures, monstrum sepsis is currently working on a number of releases, starting with several more installments to the archive digging series "primordial notions". Look for the next installment, Gamma to be available in mid december as digitial only, and if you like it, stay tuned, as it's hardly the tip of the iceburg.
