A native Chicagoan, Mike has written hundreds of songs driven by groove and a love for the craft. He is classically trained on piano starting at age seven and taught himself guitar, bass and drums as a teenager.

He grew up listening to Paul McArtney, The Police, The Who, Rush and Peter Gabriel to name a few.
