CODA REACTOR $10 BUY TICKETS ONLINE: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/202411 DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM Legendary DEAD KENNEDYS guitarist EAST BAY RAY and current Dead Kennedys vocalist SKIP McSKIPSTER from the WYNONA RIDERS, have formed an exciting new band, THE KILLER SMILES. Drummer STEVE WILSON and bassist GREG REEVES round out the lineup. WILL BE PLAYING DEAD KENNEDYS SONGS!!!!!!! Posh Boy darlings of yesteryear? CHANNEL 3 will be making the jaunt back down to the Shakedown with their liquor lipped swagger. Always a good time & a Shakedown favorite as the booze will be flowing and all of their anthems jammed. If you haven’t already, check out their documentary dvd “One More For All My True Friends” for an introspective look at their whole career and definitely worth picking up. There’s a reason why the youngins are still picking up their records & still screaming along. D.P.I. is bringing their raging Hardcore Skate Punk back to the Shakedown! Ocean Beach locals DRUNKIN PUNKIN IDIOTS are bringin' it back to Shakedown in the name of booze, skateboarding & general reckless abandon. Banned from various local San Diego venues because of the chaos from their shows, Shakedown welcomes them back with open arms & beer bottles. Then we’ve got locals Coda Reactor raging like a well oiled Hardcore Rock n Roll machine bringing to mind the stylings of the Bronx, Burning Love & She Rides fronted by a modern day Jim Morrison. It’s also Miles’ (singer for Coda Reactor) B-Day so make sure to get the man a shot so he can get into character but I don’t think he really gets out of it…..

“Record Review - EAST BAY RAY AND THE KILLER SMILES - S/T: While the Dead Kennedy's were touring East Bay Ray was using his spare time writing new material along with Skip McSkipster from the Wynonna Riders and recent DK's tours. Between them they've written a pretty cool twelve track album produced by Paul Leary of Butthole Surfers fame. While there's some DK influence in there it's fair to say that this self released is far from predictable. When the opening track 'Raising The Stakes' came blasting through the speakers I did think this was going be another DK's album but as the album went on I realised that they had some really good songs on this release. Just have a listen to songs such as 'The Heart Is Something' and 'I'm A User' which prove that East Bay Ray and Co can exist without having the need to mimic the DK's. I'm so pleased this album came my direction as it's pure Rock n Roll with social aware lyrics ... I promise this album will kick ass big time! 8.5/10”
