Kenny Traylor, inducted in 2002 as a member of the elite list of Buddy Magazine’s “Texas Tornado” guitarists, is also undoubtedly, one of the best Blues, Soul and R & B singers you will ever get a chance to hear! He has played with such artists as Johnny Taylor, Ben E. King, Sam and Dave, Lucky Peterson, Buddy Miles and many more. Kenny currently has three cd’s and is recognized as one of the premier artists in the DFW area. If you are a true “Blues” fan, you will definitely want to be there for this one!
Join us at the historic Rodeo City Music Hall in Mesquite, Texas, on Saturday, May 12th, for an evening of live music featuring two bands with Mesquite ties. "An Evening of Rock and Blues" will feature The David Vineyard Band (DVB) and Blueblood. The David Vineyard Band will open the show with some high energy classic and modern rock and several originals. Their set includes songs by bands such as Grand Funk Railroad, Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters, and Queen. The band will also perform several original songs written by David. Blueblood will close out the evening with a rousing set of soul, r&b, and blues. The band is made up of well-known and respected musicians from around the area. Guitarist and vocalist Kenny Traylor has played with many big names in the U.S. and abroad. He has a smooth voice, great guitar chops, and writes great songs. Saxophonist Jon R. Smith is a very well respected member of the music community. He has played with many big name acts, including Johnny Winter just recently in Dallas. Bobby Counts (bass) and Gonzy Trevino (drums) round out the lineup and provide a steady rhythm section that drives Blueblood's "classic cool" music.
