Jesse Sublett is one of Austin's primal forces in music. His band, The Skunks, was in the first wave in 1978. He's played with members of Go-Go's, ex-Rolling Stones, Elvis Costello, Blondie, Clash, Patti Smith. In his current club act he plays upright and electric bass, singing his own bluesy dark ballads of murder, despair and chaos with a dimply smile and world weary croon. He is joined by Jon Dee Graham (the Murder Blues Show) or his Big Three Trio.
