"We heard this track and we were just mesmerised by it and we hope you will be too." [Fall In]
"This week's pick, of the uploaded, comes from a gentleman who captivated us towards the end of 2013 with some amazing music and he's keeping up the trend. It's Gavin Kaufman, Look Me Up." [Look Me Up]
"We felt quite strongly that we ought to make three and a half minutes worth of room this afternoon in 'you say we play' to stick on Dock Road. He's local and he's great he's Gavin Kaufman on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. Gavin Kaufman's Dock Road, which I confess I love a lot." [Dock Road]
"It's time for a great local artist, we really like on this show. He wowed us with some great tracks..." [Dock Road]
"Lets pause for a sec and get on some great local music. Gavin Kaufman, we've heard quite a bit of him on this show and on BBC Introducing, you might remember his track Dock Road? Well, he's playing live in the studio next Wednesday, I become a one woman audience for another great local talent. This is Look Me Up that came to us via the BBC Introducing Uploader… but as for Gavin, oh my, he sounds great." [Look Me Up]
"The b-side, 'Fall In', couldn’t be more different. This is a mostly acoustic number which sounds much more folk-oriented. Gavin’s vocal on the song is impeccable, anchored by three words “Listen. Follow. Believe.” It’s gorgeous. The only instrumentation on the track, besides the voice and guitar, is a subtle keyboard that insinuates itself during the second chorus. By the third chorus the vocals are double-tracked – the whole song builds in tension and beauty. Gavin’s song reminds me a little of Ed Sheeran’s 'The A Team', although Gavin’s song was released well before that.
Gavin Kaufman is a talent waiting to happen. I give the single a 9 on the England Swings scale of 1-10." [Single Review – Gavin Kaufman – 10 10 10/Fall In]
"Gavin Kaufman is an unsigned artist from Liverpool, and he has released his first single.
It’s a beautiful thing, too.
“10 10 10” is the a-side of the single, and it’s a pulsing rocker. It features a straightforward beat, some fiery guitar work, and a confident and effective vocal. The song is about a cry for sanity in a world gone mad – where the television, radio, and newspapers speak 'of a world that’s crumbling and torn', where we 'kill everything and anything that’s pure'. There’s a choppy rhythm guitar, overlaid by a lead guitar with a penetrating tone. [Single Review – Gavin Kaufman – 10 10 10/Fall In]
