“Fill The Silence is a dirty garage rock band with a raw sound that is to die for. Their sound is a combination of the brilliance of Jack White with the sheer grit of Guns n Roses. The guitar work is chunky and features a lot of tasty riffs ranging from blues rock to folk to punk to grunge, all very well done. The variation of styles provides for some interesting combinations and songs... The bass work is very solid and really drives the band along on songs like The Cure. The drum work is typical rock stuff but it really shines on riff driven songs like Dirty Girl where the drums pulsate and vibrate pushing their way all throughout the music. The vocals are rather soothing, yet with a rough side. The singer obviously has great range and a wonderful voice, yet at the edge there is a ragged side, and that is very rock and roll. In conclusion, Fill The Silence is a cool band that plays rock and roll the way it was meant to be played, loud, powerful, and fun. So go check them out!”

The genre of hard rock these days has become all too similar between the bands that call to this type of music, FTS did a decent job of keeping their songs something different and vibrant, rather than washed up copies of Nickelback songs. Throughout their set, FTS showed revealed many different faces of their music. Although hard rock is an easy way to pigeonhole the band, they really pushed the boundaries of the genre, shedding light of bands like Hinder, Foo Fighters, Breaking Benjamin, and even older bands like Aerosmith. “I first had Fill The Silence play at my venue in May of 2011. We had Bang Tango headlining, and I was told that FTS was opening at the last minute, after the posters had already been printed. I hadn't ever heard of them, and we already had a local opener scheduled, so we just let the existing posters fly without FTS on them. I didn't figure anyone would even notice the first act, between the popular local band, and the always awesome Bang Tango. Boy, was I wrong. They blew our socks off! For the next 3 to 4 weeks, I constantly had people asking me who the "boys" were that opened for Bang Tango, they wanted me to bring them back ASAP, alone if possible! And I have, 5 times now, and am looking forward to the 6th in a couple months. These guys are one of the hottest acts on the west coast. In song quality, raw talent, and professionalism, you really just can't top what they bring to the stage. Never again will FTS fail to make one of my posters.”

“Fill the Silence invaded the Black Hills of South Dakota last year with 300,000 bikers for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Their sound was a perfect sound track to a week full of hot days, hot bikes and hotter biker babes. They played downtown Main Street Deadwood every night of the week while splitting their days promoting throughout the area and playing another set of shows at Desperado Junction.
