In the hung-over wake of a Celtic’s crushing 131-92 victory over Kobe and the Laker’s (”F” You Kobe!), I hit what else but Myspace to see what’s up that will be fun but let’s say a little more low key. What do I find? Well in addition to the always amazing way to spend an evening, The Platinum Social Club at the High Life, I find a band that is new music to my ears…EgoMagnet.

Bio
Based out of Springfield, MO, Egomagnet jumps out of the midwest and into your ear with a rock'n roll, reggae attitude that sounds straight out of California. Egomagnet has been a band for nearly 4 months now and has already shared the stage with nationally known acts: Cas Haley (America's Got Talent), Jah Roots, The Urge, Members of 311, and many more! The group prides itself on its live performances and its quickly-growing fan base.
When not on the stage, the bands enjoys wakeboarding, skateboarding, sippin' brew, and writing new music. Be sure to check out this new local act at a venue near you!

EgoMagnet is band made up of former members of a host of the midwest's favorite bands.
Erin 'EK" Harmon-Kenny/// is formerly of the national groove rock act- Barefoot Revolution. After which he spent a year long stint with the10 piece, funkin' soul band, Clockwork. He has gone on to form numerous other projects and has spent a the last few years mastering today's recording technologies and harnessing the power of internet and multimedia.
Brandon Hilt ///may be the bands most recent member , but he has already endeared himself to the loyal EgoMagnet fans. He is an accomplished Singer/ Songwriter as well as a fine guitarist. But most of all Hilt brings the power of Hip Hop swagger and sway to the band to make it a rock solid lineup. Welcome aboard, we say!
Fernando "I am the Alpha and the" Omega Brown/// Yes really, Its too good to make up. You can call him FERD. Fernando is an accomplished player in a young frame. At only 21 he is already a veteran of such midwest faves like BrokeDown Sound and Jam Room. He's also quite a harp blower. and plays the guitar when its time to shake things up on stage a bit.
Ian Foreman///What a freak! Seriously, this kid will drop your jaws. He too is a former member of BrokeDown Sound . He has played with most of the musician's in the area in one way or another. But he belongs to us. Or maybe we belong to him.
