“Norfolk indie rockers, Dyska, have released their debut EP, Broken Things. The three songs can be found on their Bandcamp page and are available for immediate download at no cost. “Broken Things” opens the EP. Justin’s smooth vocals, solid guitar riffs and effortless harmonies are almost trance like. The melody is catchy and will be sure to have you singing along. “Of Gold” is next and starts with a strong guitar based intro. Songwriters are often criticized for writing lyrics that include ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs.’ But this song’s “whoa, whoa” fits perfectly with the flow of the track. Finally, “Darling” completes this 3-song EP. Although it is the shortest on the record, a keys/synth based bridge and simple lyrics make this the stand out track. This EP is the definition of indie rock. It’ll also make the perfect soundtrack for a late night drive down to the beach. If you’re a fan of Young The Giant, Dyska will not disappoint.”
