Dreamcult / Press

“Dreamcult has been racking up success since its debut, self-titled CD four years ago.The band will mark that success with a CD release party for its second CD Friday at Huntington Ale House. Also marking the release of their first CD will be members of Four Skull, a band from Catlettsburg. The band Evil Me of Carter County will perform as well.Morton Counts, bass player who also provides background vocals for Dreamcult, said his band will perform at 11 and play for about an hour and a half, followed by Four Skulls and Evil Me.No one is a headliner at this show, he said; it’s three local bands putting on a show and celebrating their new CDs.”

“The Grayson/Ashland band Dreamcult also released their full self-titled CD this year and have backed it up with sporadic live appearances. While their sound (much like Zeroking’s) is a definite throwback to the classic hard rock/metal era of the late 1980s and early 90’s, it sounds just as sweet now as it would have been back then. Singer Clint Adkins has a strong sense of what works melodically, and that, paired with a strong voice and a neo-classical, rocking keyboard style that will have you singing along in no time, is what helps his band to remain a pleasure to listen to. ”
