Bio
Fresh off his world tour as lead trombonist and arranger for
Eddie Palmieri’s “La Perfecta II”, Doug Beavers finally releases his
debut album in the form of a jazz nonet. The album features a
veritable who’s who of New York City musicians in a unique
instrumentation for such an ensemble: 2 Tenor Saxophones, 2
Flugelhorns with Bass and Tenor Trombones. Two Shades of
Nude breaks down the current barriers in jazz with blistering new
compositions and fresh takes on classics by the masters.
Features special guests Dafnis Prieto and Alex Sipiagin.
