One of Chicago’s hottest DJ’s started in 1983 mixing Chicago
style house music. After 4 years of mixing at various “basement” house parties and making mix tapes for his friends, phatmike then moved to New Orleans. In 1987 he picked up the trade of mixing Hip-Hop and R&B.
In 1993, Phatmike was asked to supply mixes for Chicago’s
WBBM 96.3 FM radio station. At the time B96 had a show
