SHORT BUS PILE UP DEADLY REMAINS REPULSIVE INFESTATION OSSIFICATION IMBALANCED SHATTERED EYES $5 DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM SHORT BUS PILE UP started as a joke back in the winter of 2005. After realizing he wanted to do more as a musician, Tyler Sharpes (vocals) decided to take the band in a bit more serious direction. He contacted David Dement (drums), who he knew through friends and failed bands alike. Knowing this was the perfect opportunity to get the band rolling, Tyler asked his co-worker Elliott Ferguson (guitar) if he wanted to play death metal. After agreeing the band now had the core of two guitarists, and a drummer. Logan Karkenny was then added as vocalist because of his deeper guttural vocals. The 4 piece made several songs but felt that it was empty. After playing a show in VA Beach in the fall of 2007, Chris Albright who had given them a ride to this show, was added to bass. The band began writing and after several shows, they later released the “Putrid Pelvic Prolapse EP” in February 2008. In September 2008 the band hit the rocks. Chris left on good terms, for personal reasons and the band had lost several different practice spots, due to separate issues. After a bit of downtime, Ryan Olson (bass) was recruited to play bass and had an empty basement for practice. This set them in the right direction and allowed Short Bus to start writing again. With a little bit more turbulence, Logan also ended up leaving on good terms, leaving the band without a vocalist for the upcoming planned tour, and the recording of the band’s next release. With a bit of quick rearrangements and practice, Tyler decided to take the helm as vocalist. DEADLY REMAINS is from Northern California. The band came into existence in the fall of 2006. They produced and released an eight track demo called Moral Crusade in 2008. Recorded at NB Recording Studios in Santa Rosa, CA Moral Crusade afforded the band opportunities to play throughout California and build a fan base. In fall of 2009 Deadly Remains released Before the Nothing (once again recorded/mixed/mastered at NB Recording Studios), featuring artwork by Jon Zig as well as improved songwriting, musicianship, and better production. The band toured the Pacific Northwest (CA, OR, WA, ID, UT, LV) on this release. Over the past two years Deadly Remains has played shows in theater halls, clubs, bars, warehouses, homes, back yards, and everything in between. They have made numerous appearances at festival type shows all over California and Nevada, and have had the privilege of sharing the stage with notable bands such as Napalm Death, Kataklysm, Toxic Holocaust, Flesh Consumed, Sepsism, Colonize the Rotting, Septycal Gorge, Cerebral Incubation, Condemned, Embryonic Devourment, Putrid Pile, Arkaik, Pathology, Inherit Disease and Vulvectomy. Deadly Remains is releasing a new album in the Fall of 2011 via Deepsend Records called “Severing Humanity”. REPULSIVE INFESTATION: If Pathology and Dying Fetus had a baby, and Devourment and Blasphemer had a baby, and those two babies grew to be dirty sexual perverts who then proceeded to perform horrendous anal fisting to one an other, the disgusting mixture of feces, blood, semen, urine, sweat, lubrication, saliva, and peanut butter left in a foul smelling pool on the ground afterwards would be Repulsive Infestation. OSSIFICATION is a five piece Death Metal band from Moreno Valley, California. Originally formed as a four piece with Ian Washington on guitar, Shane Washington on bass, Albert Rios on drums, and Damian Martinez on Vocals, the band recorded The California Hammer Tacker Massacre demo in late 2007. After an extensive guitarist search, the group added Devin Chelala to the fold. This line-up went on to record the 2008 Mid coital Autopsy demo, though Devin was to eventually make an amicable departure. In 2009, the Band returns with a new guitar player by the name of Jeremy Medina. In 2011 Ossification inked a record deal with New Standard Elite. IMBALANCED: In the very beginning, Ben was born with a book in his hand; and Tim, A shovel. Later formed in the fierce mountains of Southern California, when Guitarist ;and soon to be vocalist, Dirty Ben Cockerham met the Legendary Drummer Tim Rusk Bennett. After a Few years of mindless Improvisation IMBALANCED started to play shows. At their First show something magical happened, a A Physical Entity was Established on earth after there musical energy was too powerful for the universe's feeble fabric to Handle. This entity is known as the NINJA. After Thousands of beers and pounds of marijuana IMBALANCED is Now Ready to Destroy the world in a drunken, belligerent Massacre because; Were just the kind of people who skin puppies and feed them to there parents as we shove bloody fetuses up elephant assholes just to get them to stomp all over baby bunnies which we strategically put there starting a chain reaction that split us into a different dimension where we all got super ninja powers we can fly fall climb crawl lick hear see like a hawk swim like a fish teleport gamble drink vote teach doctors how to lacerate pig remains and many other great powers. And we also recycle. SHATTERED EYES started with the objective of playing music that we love, not because is a trend or because is something everybody is listening to nowadays. We don't write our music thinking "Let's do a breakdown so people can mosh; or a 2-step so they can dance". We think only about us being pleased with the music we're writing. We want people to feel what we feel when we play a riff, that makes our hearts pump faster and head-bang like crazy. We each have different music influences but we try to keep our music to a level which we can all enjoy. We combine the "Old-School" type of Death Metal with the "New Death Metal" bringing forth a sound that makes you feel the true potential for wrath that a human being can bear with precise blast-beats, horrendous growls, monstrous guitars and brutal bass. Shattered Eyes has become a well-known and respected act in the underground scene of Tijuana.
