Bio

Daniel Serale is Professor of Music and Performer specialized in Percussion. Along his solo performing career, he made the first audition in Argentina of important pieces of the international repertoire and also numerous premiers of Argentinean and Brasilian composers' works. Currently he is introducing his first CD: Vibrafonauta. His work in chamber music, with a diversity of groups and composers, enabled him to cover a large repertoire, besides sharing the work with remarkable artist.

Daniel Serale is Professor of Music and Performer specialized in Percussion. Part of the Süden! contemporary music ensemble and the Percussão 2em1 duo.
Graduated at the National University Art Institute in Buenos Aires, he improved timpani technique with Arturo Vergara (Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra) and participated in Seminaries taught by William Moersch (USA, Marimba), Miguel Bernat (Spain, Contemporary Percussion) and Miguel Tallo (Argentina, Latin Percussion).
Along his solo performing career, he made the first audition in Argentina of important pieces of the international repertoire (such as Huber's Dasselbe ist nicht dasselbe, Donatoni's Omar and Rosauro's Vibraphone concert), and also numerous premiers of Argentinean composers' works. Because his research on the Argentinean repertoire for one percussionist, he was invited to perform a solo concert at the IV Buenos Aires Percussion Festival (2005) and the IV International Percussion Festival in ..Patagonia.. (2006). Moreover he had taught master-classes in Vibraphone and Contemporary Percussion at the II and III National Percussion Festival 'Arte a Palos'. Currently he is introducing his first CD: Vibrafonauta.
His work in chamber music, with a diversity of groups and composers, enabled him to cover a large repertoire, including premieres and first auditions, besides sharing the work with remarkable artist: Mauricio Kagel, Gerardo Gandini, Martín Matalón, Carlos Roqué Alsina, Robyn Schulkowsky, Ney Rosauro, Ángel Frette.
Resident since 2006 in Rio de Janeiro, Daniel was invited percussionist at the premier of Jocy de Oliveira's opera Kseni, has participated in the XVII Brazilian Contemporary Music Biennial and plays often with the Petrobras Symphonic Orchestra and the group of composers Prelúdio 21.
