Part story-teller, part violinist, part Financial Analyst, Cara Wick--like her music--defies expectation. She grew her songwriting passion in the corn fields of Iowa while attending business school. Her musical youth was spent in the last stand of the viola section, where she learned classical discipline and humility. Her current projects are stretching the limits of folks music in opposite ways--from her classical/folk fusion piece “Requiem” to her laugh-out-loud “Apartment Song.” Patrick Simms describes Cara’s songwriting as “moments of genius coupled with sincerity” and Ronnie Cato, host of Red Vic Sessions in San Francisco, says “a simply literate and slyly tuneful performer it's worth getting her world.”
