Bio

Since arriving in 2001, brokeMC has gone from relative anonymity to become a major player in the New York Independent Hip Hop scene. In Brooklyn his name is associated with packed-out shows and cultural events, and the rest of the world is starting to catch the vibe. With four National U.S. tours under his belt, including shows at the Famous Viper Room in Los Angeles and a feature at NXNE in Toronto in 2008, brokeMC has just released his most raw and emotive disc yet.

"Seeing Things" is a journey from the grimey alleys of Brooklyn to the shimmering skyscrapers of Manhattan, from the Deserts of New Mexico to the cages of a zoo on an Alien space ship. Conjuring images from your daydreams and nightmares, brokeMC flexes his storytelling prowess to the lush rhythmic backdrops provided by SF Bay Area beatsmith Dozer.

His sharp cadence and everyman flow are garnering him acclaim across the world from the masses who are sick of the same old nonesense. A veteran of countless street cyphers and battles, and DIY punk rock peddler of postmodern anthems, brokeMC is giving you yet another reason to scream at the top of your lungs that "Broke is Okay!"

I make music for you.
It's a painstaking process full of barbs and sharp edges, ink and sweat, flower petals and broken glass.

I've put out a few albums, gone on a few tours, thrown shows and parties to make all of NYC stand on her head.
