Free Blues Festival - Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 14 when the Ramada Bismarck Hotel and the Muddy River Blues Society host a FREE outdoor show featuring National headline act Peter Karp & Sue Foley.....here's what to expect. Peter Karp & Sue Foley two brilliant blues guitarists and songwriters have come together in an intriguing blend of americana blues and rockabilly flare. The multi-talented due doesn't only work off of each other's unique sound flawlessly, but they also bring a candid, comfortable presence to the stage that really allows their talents to pour together. Their first CD together "He Said - She Said" was rated #1 on the roots and blues radio charts for 8 weeks, and was #4 on the charts for the year. Modern melodies and old school harmonies tied together with beautiful songwriting and raw talent make this band hard to forget. Much more info will be following shortly. This show is tentatively set to start at 2:30pm. First opening act to be announced is singer/songwrter Brian Walther from Mobridge, SD. At least two other bands will round out the show.

Q: Hey Brother!!! How ya doing? Sounds great!!! I've thought many times of the brief crossing of our lives during that exotic island deployment way back when. You recording at home or in a studio?
A: Hey Brother! I'm doing pretty good. Just playing, recording, and enjoying my grand kids. Right now, I've got a studio in my basement. 24 track tascam recorder for tracking and then I usually import it into a computer to edit, process, and mixdown. Now the next step is trying to find management or a booking agent so I can get back out on the road. :-)
