Within just 6 months of their first show in 2006, the band landed a spot in one of the most prestigious independent music festivals in the world- the CMJ Music Marathon (New York, NY). By the end of 2006, the Billy Bauer Band represented the Philadelphia region in the Original Sessions National Band Search in New York City and they took first place. As a result, their single 55 can still be heard in all Sam Ash music stores nationally. By 2009, the band locked shows at some of the largest festivals in the nation including: Musikfest (Bethlehem, PA), Dewey Beach Pop & Americana Festivals (Dewey Beach, Delaware), 2006 FMFB Festival (New York City), and the Black Potato Festival (Clinton, NJ).
