Bill Cardinal has been writing and performing in San Diego since 2006 with an outlaw country style and DIY method. Influenced by figures such as Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, and Townes Van Zandt; Cardinal shuns the Nashville pop sound and pulls off both the comedy and tragedy of old country music with a modern tinge. In February 2009 he played his first show with The Canyon Band behind him, and released a six-song EP entitled “65 More Miles” on 10” vinyl in May.
