Bio: From San Diego, The Bigfellas write and perform “smartass rock". Piano-based, but aggressively eclectic. Best known for their funnyish stuff like “I Wish That I Were Gay”, “4:20” and the world’s only golf rap, “On The Green,” all of which are on their late 2008 schizophrenic CD, Chubbed Up.

Fun night, really cool venue & idea.
Charlie playing solo (with some guests likely TBA) at our favorite place, "a cross between a church and a Chinese brothel during the Gold Rush". New songs, old songs, good friends and GREAT venue and MSG-laden old-school Chinese food. "Best egg rolls in United States", says satisfied customer Charlie Recksieck. See you!
Charlie playing solo, trading sets then playing together with Michael Tiernan. Michael's new CD is imminent and it's an exciting time. Great stuff & always a really fun jam for the two of them at the end.

Tonight's special performers are 2 of our most talented Singer Songwriters: Alison Marae has been a member of the Songwriters MeetUp since 2008. Alison sings a savory cocktail of Vintage Flavored Jazz. Imagine New York 1940s. Her new CD just released. http://alisonmarae.com/ Charlie Recksieck is a relatively new member of our MeetUp, but has been active in the music scene for awhile. His band Big Fellas won the UT Readers poll for best Local band. His songs combine very humorous lyrics with Steely Dan meets Rye Cooder musical sophistication.
