Yury Sanchez has been a part of the Baltimore Hardcore community for nearly 20 years. On November 5, 2011, Yury was standing to the side of the stage during a Stout set when a stage diving fan landed on him. Yury's neck was injured in the fall and he was then rushed to Maryland's Shock Trauma Hospital. At the time of the injury, Yury could not move from the neck down. He had to have emergency surgery on his neck and a steel rod was inserted to relieve pressure on his spine. Since the surgery, Yury has been making progress and with the proper amount of therapy, he may make a full recovery. This therapy could take some time and money, therefore we are proposing this benefit. The benefit will be held at The Ottobar, Baltimore, MD 01/28/12 on the first and second floors.
