Bass Head Music (BHM) / Press

“Wow thanx to bass head music for making me this tech deck!”

“The highly anticipated debut album from local multi-layered group Bass Head Music dropped last month as promised. And they are making the most of their new release. The album dropped on the same day that they took part in the finals for the Battle Of The Bands. Then they kicked off this month by opening up for Tech N9ne and Machine Gun Kelly at The Rave. And they are lending themselves to a wide variety of events throughout the Summer, including an exclusive affair with The Illixer and our friends over at Blaqlizt Entertainment. So what can those planning to catch J.D. The Chief and Mista Marcus in action, expect to hear musically? Let’s dig through some tracks and find out. (CLICK TO CONTINUE READING)”

“Last Friday, Bass Head Music kicked off the weekend with the release of visuals for their song “On The Northside.” The video was jointly directed by Bass Head Music and some of their peeps. The editing was handled by J.D. The Chief and Mista Marcus. The plot for the video is pretty much just J.D. and Marcus fraternizing throughout the city. Presumably on the Northside of town. Additionally, there is a cameo appearance from a very entertaining individual. The video concludes with a quick word from Mista Marcus before he and J.D. ride off in a very clean and stylish whip. This was a solid yet brief piece for another hot Bass Head Music cut. The album is going to be insane. [CLICK TO READ MORE}”

“The fellas of Bass Head Music have released their second set of visuals off of their upcoming album. It’s for their previously featured edgy yet dope single “Heartless.” If readers thought the single was crazy, then the video will definitely leave an impression. This video was directed by Robert McBride. The piece stands out from the very start due to the dark setting and haunting lights. The elements create an ominous atmosphere but it matches the vibe of the production, so it works. The location is an all black space framed in a red curtain, that is sparsely decorated in little red hearts. However, there is one heart that is more prominent then the others due to it’s large size. It is a reoccurring detail in the video. Another reoccurring detail is a seriously deformed cupid. The ghastly cupid is shown in the opening and then just happens to pop up here and there for the remainder of the visuals. The plot for the video centers around a very creepy couple.....CLICK TO CONTINUE”

“The fellas of Bass Head Music just released their first video and were kind enough to allow it to be shared with readers. It’s for their track “Shwasted” and the single will be featured on the upcoming album. It’s a party track with a gangsta vibe to it. The video takes place in Oshkosh, WI following the group’s attendance of a wrestling match. It was directed by JT OnTheBeatz and RokkStarr. The premise for the video is basically a small house party of sorts. The guys have an insane amount of Pabst Blue Ribbon on deck, do a little smoking, and just have a ball. They even found a creative use for the masks they acquired from the wrestling match. It adds a nice comical element to things. Overall, this was a fun number and a hot track. The fellas of Bass Head Music certainly know how to enjoy themselves and they coined a new phrase for party people everywhere.”

“The production here is hot. It contains a hushed tone, light instruments, and a somber vibe. The instruments include Bass Head Music member Rokkstarr on the guitar. The hook is on point as well. The delivery is easy going and smooth. The lyrics are simple but honest and catchy. The verses are first-rate. They feature members J.D. The Chief and Mista Marcus. Both rappers came with cool relaxed flows, cunning wordplay, and exceptional lyrics.”

“The Munchies is a great mixtape. Phresh and J.D. chose tracks that fit their styles perfectly. Also, they came really strong lyrically. Though the title might be more of a call to fellow smokers, I think Hip-Hop lovers of all kinds will enjoy this project. It’s certainly one of the best I’ve heard so far this year. But please click that link and let your own ears do the talking.”
