Don L. Bartholomew and Ron C. Bartholomew, a.k.a. the "Bartholomew Boys," established Bang-N-Records in 1996. The Bartholomew Boys, sons of Rock-N-Roll hall of famer Dave Bartholomew, started the label in New Orleans to help bring attention to local artists and their original rap and R&B sounds.
