"The emotion in her voice is unmistakable as she powers through a few tracks while giving others a wonderful soulful sheen. Artistically, the lady mixes in funk, pop, country, folk and more - all with evocative lyrics. There a musical surprise around almost every corner."

Q: Can you define "Acid Folk" for me? Is this new album of yours. Concidered Acid Folk?
A: i kind of made up the genre 'psychedelic acid folk' - which is a sub-genre of the made-up genre of 'acid folk' coined by Tom Wilson. it's folk that might have taken some harder drugs in its youth, and hasn't quite evened out the edges nor does it try ... not quite rock, because it's more acoustic-oriented - but definitely not your garden variety coffee-house patchouli-wearing ponytail-sporting all sensitive and self-centered kind of schlock you might expect when you hear the word 'folk' ... its acid folk because it cuts. it's psychedelic acid folk because it takes you on a trip, and cuts you up along the way ... hope that helps.
