Please join me for the Grand Opening of my exhibition "Fantastic Journeys - Paintings inpired by Ursula Le Guin"! ************ The opening will take place on Tuesday, 17 August 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm, at Thistle Hall in Wellington - Cuba St corner Arthur St. *********** Expect dragons, wizards and magic! Plus, delicious finger food, and a harp music performance by Asni the Harper (my musical alter ego) - including the world premiere of a new piece, "Only in Silence" - inspired, just like the paintings, by a text by the great old lady of American fantasy and science fiction, Ursula Le Guin. ********************* If you cannot join me for the opening, the show will be open from 17 to 22 August, Tuesday to Saturday 11 am - 8 pm and Sunday 11 am - 6 pm. There will be harp music performances every day at 12.30 pm and 6 pm (Sunday 5.30 pm) - so come and join me for a relaxing half hour in your lunch break, or after work! ********************* The show presents the result of a year and a half of work, and an even longer, often difficult period of transition from being a full time musician, to developing my confidence and my painting skills to present these works to the public. It is an important milestone for me as an artist.
