Isness is a live/electronic music group from Atlanta, GA that began as Spencer Ussery’s solo project in 2006, but later developed to include members Zach Richards and Jacob Franklin in April 2010. The idea for the group was born when Irreversible, the local metal band to which all members belong, went on a hiatus. All three members are multi-talented instrumentalists: Ussery is the bassist, percussionist, and keyboardist; Richards is the drummer and percussionist; Franklin is the guitarist, and both he and Ussery produce and program the music for Isness.
The band often performs with and is compared to electronic and dub-step artists, but an accurate description of their sound surpasses the limitations of these genres. Isness is constantly evolving and expanding its range of influence to encompass a variety of genres including dub, metal, industrial, psychedelic trance, and hip hop. By melding these seemingly separate genres, they create a kaleidoscopic combination and a surprisingly dynamic symphony of sounds.
Within one year, Isness has had the privilege to sharing the stage with Bluetech, Signal Path, Archnemesis, Ployd, and DT of Clan Destined.
