Jennifer Westwood and the Handsome Devils / Bio

Detroit has a musical heritage that is rich, proud and ever expanding with no limits or restrictive bounds. That is why Emmy award winning vocalist Jennifer Westwood was able to boldly assemble the Handsome Devils and combine elements of soul, gospel, hill country blues and outlaw country all into one package.

Jennifer Westwood and the Handsome Devils have collected numerous awards in their musical history including Detroit Music, Blue Water Music, Caddy and the aforementioned Emmy awards while compiling nearly 20 albums in their careers. While having toured the country and the world, the members have also had songs featured in ABC’s Nashville, NBC’s Fear Itself, FX’s Sons of Anarchy, MTV’s Nitro Circus and on the Fall Guy DVD set to name just a few.

Jennifer grew up singing gospel in Detroit. She has joined forces with guitarist Dylan Dunbar (Rumpshakers, Whitey Morgan) and bassist JD Mackinder (Whitey Morgan, Deadstring Brothers), she was able to utilize those experiences and combine it with her devil’s talents and create a Hill Country Outlaw Swamp band that is unique in style and yet familiar to the ear all at once. It’s dirty, greasy and foot stomping. It’s Jennifer Westwood and the Handsome Devils.
