2-Wise was born in a small town in the Netherlands. The interest for music started at a young age.
He started playing drums and guitar at the age of 6. When he was only 12 he graduated at the General Musical Education (Dutch AMV school for music). After that he traded his instruments for a dj-set, influenced by mixtapes of several dj's. In that same time he discovered a program called “Cubase”. Together with his father's Atari computer he learned to make music with this program.
At the age of 15, 2-Wise started as a resident dj in a local club. He started as a dj in the hip-hop / urban scene. But in the early 90's he already combined urban with house and uk garage music. That is why he made a switch a few years ago, to the house scene. 2-Wise playd in countries like: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Swiss and Poland.
Now a days his dj sets can be called energetic. His style is a mixture of progressive, techhouse, latinhouse with a twist of eclectic and mainstream. After years he combines his own creative style with different music influences. 2-Wise was one of the first dj's in the early 90's, who combined his dj sets with his mc skills. While he is pumping up the crowd with his choice of music, he also uses the microphone to take the crowd to another level.
In the years 2-Wise build up his own studio and worked as a producer with artists and rising stars like: Snoop Dogg, Timati, E-Sonic, 88 Bricks, House-Djunky, Irma Derby, Gerard Karsdorp (House Bangerz) Wolffman and many more.
In 1998 he hits the clubs with a remix of “The place” from the US R&B group Shai. The remix was a club banger in Germany and ended up at #5 of the German Dance Charts. After that hit remix 2-Wise worked with several rising artists in Germany.
In 2001 he was asked to make a remix for the Dutch group Ross & Iba and made another club banger called “Faluma Ding”. Now a days you can still hear dj's play this song in the Dutch clubs.
After a lot of studio time he worked together with Gerard Karsdorp on a remake of Andre Michelle's “A2” and dropped his vocals on this remake. The remix 2-Wise made was featured by Dance Tunes and scored a top10 hit at the Dance Tunes Charts.
In 2010 2-Wise founded his own label “Sweetnezz Music”, which released his debut solo single:
“You're in my head”. The single ended up at #21 at the Canadian Dance Charts and got support by dj's like Melvin Reese and Sander Kleinenberg. In december of 2010 he released 2 club tracks at once who got supported by national and international dj's like: Roger Sanchez, DJ Jean, Oz Romita and many more. More releases will follow with collaboration with different vocalists.
2-Wise is not a DJ, Producer or a MC, he is an entertainer. The stage is his home where he feels at place.
