Stacy Clark / Bio

Buffalo born, Southern California-based singer, songwriter, and musician is an exciting artist to watch on the indie-pop music scene. Clark’s charmingly idiosyncratic voice and heartfelt lyrics have already won top music supervisors, who have featured Clark’s song on youth-oriented shows such as E! Keeping Up With the Kardashian's, The CW’s One Tree Hill, Girlfriends, Fly Girls, MTV’s Teen Mom, The Hills, The Buried Life, My Super Sixteen, Exiled and Engaged & Underage, ABC’s Make It Or Break It and Samurai Girl, Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project, Showtimes The Real L Word, Oxygens Bad Girls Club and VH-1’s The Price of Beauty. After relentless touring Clark got a break landing the Bell Palm Pre national Canadian cell phone commercial with her song “Touch & Go”.
In 2004, Clark packed up her car and headed to L.A. , because she couldn't imagine being anything but a musician. A production deal led to the 2006 release of her first EP, Unusual (scoring her an award for Best Female Performer at the 2006 Southern California Music Awards), followed by the release of her 2007 full-length Apples and Oranges, which she funded herself with money she earned doing phone sales for an advertising company. Tirelessly performing around Southern California,  Clark followed up a 2007 win for 'Best Female Performer 'at the Orange County Music Awards winning the 'Best Pop Artist' award in 2010 and 2011.
In 2011, Clark signed to Vanguard Records. Her song “White Lies” was chosen by iTunes as the Single of the Week. It garnished over 420,000 downloads, propelling her to No. 7 on the iTunes charts (before Lady Gaga). Her album 'Connect the Dots' landed at #12 on Billboards 'Top Heatseeker' chart and on Amazons “Best Records of 2011”. Clark toured both nationally and internationally hitting the road for over 150 days. This included playing residencies at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, The Cosmo in Las Vegas and at Tab in Singapore. Clark has opened for bands America, Jacks Mannequin, The Plain White T's, Kate Nash, The Bird and the Bee, Melissa Ferrick, Dick Dale, The New Amsterdams, Tumbledown and Copeland.
Clark released her album 'Patterns' independently this past fall. ITunes reviewed 'Patterns' as “overflowing with all kinds of charm. The opener, “Lose My Mind,” sets the tone with
a perfect blend of indie and pop, as retro-sounding synthesizers work their way around percolating beats while Clark’s cooing vocals melt over a catchy chorus. It’s refreshing to hear a songstress confidently come into her own style, most noticeably in 'Breathe,'
where the sole accompaniment of an acoustic guitar really lets you home in on her lovely voice.”
In 2012, Clark landed the “Best Singer/Songwriter” award at the Artists in Music Series in Los Angeles. She was a featured singer/songwriter in a Mitsbushi commercial and her music video 'Signs' is on MTV. Clark's music can also be heard on Sirius/XM 'The Loft' this summer. She will also be supporting Eddie Money at the Molson Lockport Canal series and Rodger Hodgson of Supertramp at Artpark.
Over the past few years, she has also raised money for various charities including TWLOHA, Habitat For Humanity, Children's Hospital of Orange County, and the ASPCA (in the process becoming the owner of a rescue dog), and has performed at variety of benefit concerts for The American Red Cross, The American Cancer Society, The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and The Cystic Fibrosis Walk, to name a few.
“Having a career in music is everything I’ve ever wanted,” she says. “Nothing is more satisfying than writing a song and having someone listen and feel like they can relate,” Clark says. "My songs will outlive me and I hope they can make a difference in someone's life in the same way music has done for me.”
