7th Sons / Bio

The 7th Sons was a concept first conceived in late 2008. It was an effort to revamp the music & stage show of the Night-Creatures, originally formed in January of 2006 by Bill McFadden (drums) & Tom Bellone keyboards). After a long string of successful Southern California area concerts at The Coach House, BriXton South Bay, the Galaxy Theatre, and other shows with a variety of name artists, band members went their separate ways, following a show with Leon Russell at BriXton South Bay in July 2010.
Then, in August of 2010, talks began between founding member Bill McFadden & former 7th Sons guitarist Steven Artea with Robbie King, a local Inland Empire rock & blues guitarist. Robbie became interested in the project & brought in people he had been performing with at that time; John Mila de la Roca on keys, and Gary Cox on bass. The new 'Sons' now needed a singer, and Bill immediately thought of Tina Jackson, whom he had met after hearing her sing at his uncles' memorial service. As a result, a new, edgy and soulful rockin'-blues version of the 7th Sons began taking shape.
Before long, the 7th Sons were back and taking the stage by storm... not only raising eyebrows here and there, but also making impressions as well as new friends among the headlining performers they appeared in concert with. AND, they were rapidly gathering both old and new fans to their rockin'-blues musical camp.
In just a few short months, this new incarnation of the 7th Sons have added several more names to their previously accumulated list of national & internationally touring artists. Between October 2010 and August 2011, the 'Sons' appeared with Eddie Money, Eric Gales (2X), Savoy Brown, Johnny Winter, and Renegade Creation (Robben Ford, Michael Landau, Jimmy Haslip & Gary Novak). When coupled with the names that the band's members already have etched into their personal histories, the list reads like a veritable Who's Who of the Rock & Blues Music World!
