Kris Tilbury is a vocalist/instrumentalist who has been recording music since 2006. She has a minor in Vocal Performance, and had been involved in the university chorus for three years. She also plays folk harp, recorder, glockenspiel, and fretted dulcimer. In 2006, a friend (Robert Nunnally aka Gurdonark) taught her to create ambient music with an inexpensive music studio. A few months later, Kris released a dark ambient digital album on the Creative Commons label (Nakjaarna). She no longer records under this name.
In June 2009, Kris saw that John Fair (Lycia) was looking for a female vocalist for his project, Paper Gods. Her vocals are featured on three albums, "Woolgathering," "Songs to Play While Rome Burns," and "Climbing the Stairs We Stole."
Kris is now doing vocal/instrumental work for the melodic metal project, Wintryfrost, and is currently the vocalist/harpist for the the New Age/Ambient project, Above the Skyline (founded by Bruno Duarte of Immundus). So far they have released a digital single ("Somber Polaris"), as well as an EP ("Ocean Poetry").
Kris has also worked with the talented and gracious Michael Zimba of Gardin of Edan. Her vocals are featured on their 2010 release, "The Mass Creation."
In 2011, she began doing vocals work for the Christian doom metal band, My Darkest Time, which was founded by Zarko Atanasov. In 2012, Zarko added her as permanent member. The band released an album entitled "Transient."
